Seeking an IT/Telecoms Sourcing Leader for a leading Supply Chain / Procurement Consulting Firm. Seeking a collaborative and results-orientated Sourcing Leader with expertise in a wide range of IT/Telecoms categories to work with Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 clients to develop and execute sourcing strategies.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required
  • Identify cost/productivity improvement opportunities in IT/Telecoms spending across a wide array of leading companies;
  • Lead sourcing projects, including all key steps such as strategy development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations and supplier contract execution;
  • Pursue and develop senior level stakeholder relationships at priority accounts; support account stakeholder relationship plans;
  • Promote corporate objectives and change initiatives, ensuring that the IT/Telecoms sourcing team is supporting overall company direction and growth;
  • Mentor IT/Telecoms sourcing team on stakeholder and project management, with a special emphasis on collaboration, customer focus, delivery excellence, continuous improvement, negotiations and contracting;
  • Represent the Sourcing & Category Management team as a category expert to current and prospective customers.
  • In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Participate in the development and execution of global sourcing strategies;
  • Drive regional category strategy, in support of a global approach, contributing to overall IT/Telecoms growth and delivery commitments;
  • Grow team management skills, coaching team members in the art of Negotiation and Contracting;
  • Expand business development skills to identify and propose account growth opportunities for additional IT/Telecoms sourcing services;
  • The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A degree in a quantitative discipline (business/finance/economics/engineering/ mathematics) from a top tier university;
  • Deep knowledge of sourcing and/or category management process within Fortune 500 or FTSE 100 organisations;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a wide range of IT/Telecoms suppliers, such as Laptop/Desktop Hardware, Intel-level Servers, Mid-range Hardware, Storage, Telecoms Hardware, Shrink Wrap Software, Application Software, Long Distance Voice-Data, and Wireless Services.
  • Well-developed, solution-oriented selling skills;
  • Ability to drive transformational change;
  • Excellent communication, organisation/time management and problem solving skills;
  • Solid multi-phase project management skills;
  • Strong ability to effectively manage in a matrix organisational structure working with multiple internal clients;
  • Ability to adapt to the varied corporate cultures and organisational structures of our customers.
  • Exceptional track record of building relationships with stakeholders or customers that have resulted in high customer satisfaction.
  • This position requires travel of approximately 40-50% to multiple customer locations.
