Full Time Job Details

Under limited supervision and usually acting independently, performs a wide range of Quality Assurance activities on CT and X-ray equipment including new product, spares and part returns in accordance with general instructions and procedures.
Assignments can be varied or of a semi-routine nature requiring specific knowledge of fault finding and diagnostic capability on various X-ray Machines and parts.


Typically handles complex problems and provides technical/quality assurance feedback to the business on product and part returns leading to corrective and preventative action recommendations leading to product / process improvement.
The role will be partially office based with some duties carried out in the field or on customer sites.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Quality Assurance
  • Carry out Quality inspections on "some" new machines prior to installation onto customer sites allowing the FSE to focus on their primary tasks.
  • Be proactive by regularly reviewing returns and responding to trends with corrective action failure analysis recommendations to the business.
  • Repair product and provide continuous improvements feedback to manufacturing, Field Service and Customer.
  • Decommission old machines for reuse of parts and to satisfy the WEEE directive for disposal.
  • Carry out audits on customer sites eg: ADR, Schiphol, Dublin, but not restricted to these sites.
  • QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • HNC or equivalent or Military training in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  • Typically possesses (5) years or more experience with at least two (2) of which have been with a directly applicable industry and specific highly skilled knowledge of x-ray, CT technologies, and company’s products and equipment.
  • Possesses good knowledge of Quality Assurance tools, including corrective and preventative action techniques.
  • OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, ability to work with numbers and produce corrective action reports. Must have excellent administrative skills, be customer focused, and have ability to work to deadlines.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of complex digital and analog circuitry is required, Unix and Linux a plus. Knowledge of complex mechanical systems, familiarity with test equipment (DVM and oscilloscope) and experience with High Voltage and X-ray producing equipment preferred. Ability to perform multiple activities simultaneously and independently.
  • Must be capable of lifting 75 pounds.
